The Odessa College softball team got began conference play on the right note, defeating Western Texas College in a doubleheader Friday at Wrangler Field.
The Lady Wranglers moved to 16-12 overall, 2-0 in Western Junior College Athletic Conference.
Odessa College won the first game 8-0 before winning the second in a 14-6 result.
The Lady Wranglers will face the Lady Westerners in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. Saturday in Snyder to finish up the series.
