LUBBOCK The Odessa College softball team punched its ticket to the NJCAA World Series by defeating Midland College 11-2 in the Region V West Championship game Monday at Lubbock Christian.
The Lady Wranglers moved to 51-4 overall and are playing in the World Series for the third consecutive year.
Odessa College went undefeated in the tournament, defeating Frank Phillips 11-1 on Friday before defeating Midland College 8-0 in the semifinals on Sunday.
Midland College knocked off Frank Phillips College in the elimination game earlier on Monday to advance to the final against Odessa College.
The NJCAA World Series will take place in Oxford, Ala. from May 23-27.
