The Odessa College softball team split the final two games of its four-game series against Howard College Saturday at the Wrangler Softball Complex.
A 3-1 win in Game 1 was followed up by a 9-3 loss, ending Odessa College’s shot at sweeping the Western Junior College Athletic Conference series after winning two games Friday.
The Lady Wranglers trailed by one run before bringing in three runners in the bottom of the sixth to secure the victory in the first contest.
An RBI double from Brooke Nauman helped Odessa College tie the game up, taking over the lead after two batters were walked with loaded bases.
Howard College had a faster start in the second game, leading by three runs through the first two innings.
After the Lady Wranglers scored twice in the bottom of the third, the Lady Hawks outscored them 6-1 between the fifth and seventh innings.
Kawehi Ili had three RBIs for Odessa College in the second contest, while Olivia Kuzminski had four for Howard College.
Odessa College (25-3 overall, 3-1 conference) will face Ranger College in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. Thursday in Ranger.
