GAINESVILLE The Odessa College softball team picked up two road victories against North Central Texas College Friday.
The Lady Wranglers won the first contest, 3-2, and shut out the Lions 7-0 in the second game.
After trailing by one run in Game 1, the Lady Wranglers scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to earn the late victory.
Aydenne Brown pitched all seven innings in the first game, striking out 15 while allowing four hits and one earned run.
Brooke Nauman, Morgan Dutton and Reagan Hillis each had one RBI for the Lady Wranglers.
Odessa College then had a stronger showing in the second contest, jumping out to a 4-0 advantage by the third inning.
Three runs in the top of the sixth helped the Lady Wranglers close out the sweep, recording nine hits in the second contest.
Madi Scott led Odessa College with three RBIs in the second game, while Fadwa Ben Karim struck out five in a complete-game effort.
Odessa College (18-2 overall) will play another doubleheader against North Central Texas College starting at noon Saturday in Gainesville.
