Odessa College softball head coach Jeff Jackson will be leaving for the Division I level for the same position at Stephen F. Austin University which was announced on Tuesday.
Jackson leaves Odessa College after six years of serving as the head coach.
He coached the Lady Wranglers to the NJCAA World Series in each of the last three seasons which included third place finishes this year and last season.
The Lady Wranglers finished the season with a 54-6 record and entered the NJCAA World Series as the No. 1 overall. This season marked the first time in program history that the Lady Wranglers were ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA polls.
The Lumberjacks, which play in the Western Athletic Conference, finished 30-24 this past season.
