Odessa College pitcher Aydenne Brown received another accolade in her freshman season as she earned an NJCAA Division I second-team All-American selection by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Friday.
Brown finished the season with a 20-2 overall record that included 16 complete games and also averaged more than 12 strikeouts per seven innings. Odessa College finished 39-11 overall and made its first appearance in the national tournament for the first time since 2014.
Brown is the fourth Lady Wrangler in the last four seasons to earn All-American honors. Becca Duran and Illy Cisneros were honored following the 2019 season, while Brooke Ryan was named an all-American in 2018.
