Dennis Peterson, the UTPB men’s soccer coach since 2000, has resigned his position, effective immediately, the school announced Thursday.
Peterson also coached the school’s women’s soccer team from 2004-12.
A successful club coach before taking over the Falcons’ program, Peterson mentioned spending more time with his family as the impetus for the decision.
He was the 2007 Heartland Conference Coach of the Year after the Falcons won the conference title that season.
Associate head coach Victor Domingues will guide the program as interim coach.
