The Odessa College rodeo team had a pair of cowboys make the short-go at the NIRA Sul Ross University event Saturday in Alpine.
Ridge Ward qualified for the Saddle Bronc final and finished tied for seventh with 75 points.
Bull rider Riggin Shippy put together two solid rides, earning his spot with a 71-point marking in the long go, then backing that up with a 78-point effort in the final.
The 148 total on two head moved Shippy to third for the event.
