MIDLAND UTPB scored 22 first quarter points as the Falcons cruised past Adams State for a 67-14 win Saturday at Astound Broadband Stadium.
The Falcons, who were coming off their first loss of the season last week to Colorado State-Pueblo, led 53-14 by the end of the third quarter and had no trouble in getting their first win against the Grizzlies, who fell to 0-2.
UTPB improved to 2-1 overall, 1-0 in Lone Star Conference).
UTPB quarterback Dylan Graham went 15-of-24 for 272 yards passing and had four touchdown passes.
Wide receiver Mason Ja’Juan had three receptions for 72 yards.
Running back Kory Harris had 24 carries for 155 yards and two touchdowns.
UTPB will remain at home next week against Texas A&M-Kingsville at 6 p.m. Sept. 21 at Astound Broadband Stadium.
