Kyle Tolin has been hired as the new men’s head basketball coach at UTPB, the school announced Tuesday.
Tolin was the head coach at the University of Arkansas-Missouri-Monticello the past seven seasons, leading the Boll Weevils to a pair of NCAA tournament appearances.
He replaces Josh Newman, who resigned Monday to accept an assistant coaching position at a Division I school.
Tolin led the Boll Weevils to a 16-5 record last season, winning the Great American Conference championship for the second time.
The program finished 21st in the country in 2020-21.
