OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. The UTPB men’s basketball team picked up an important win to keep its postseason hopes alive, defeating Oklahoma Christian 76-60 Thursday in Lone Star Conference play.
Miles Daniels scored 26 points to lead the Falcons.
UTPB found itself in trouble early after going down by nine points, but rallied to go into halftime with a three-point advantage.
A strong second half saw the Falcons gain the momentum needed to secure the win, hitting 52% of their shots in the period.
It was UTPB’s fourth win in the last five games.
The Falcons (15-10 overall, 7-6 conference) will face Arkansas-Fort Smith at 4 p.m. Saturday in Fort Smith, Ark.
