Wranglers win TV road game
LEVELLAND Dontrell Hewlett and Kiree Huie each scored 10 points to lead No. 2 Odessa College past South Plains College, 55-47, in Western Junior College Athletic Conference action Saturday at the Texan Dome.
The game was broadcast nationally on ESPN+.
Khalil Haywood added nine points off the bench on a day when both teams were struggling to score.
The Wranglers hit just 12.5 percent (3 for 24) of their three-point attempts.
Malek Abdelgowad scored a game-high 16 points to lead the Texans, with Christian Coleman finishing with 12 and Jaden Harris 10 in the loss.
South Plains was just 2 for 13 (15.4 percent) from long distance.
Odessa College (20-1 overall, 7-0 WJCAC) extended its conference winning streak to 31 games.

Nahawa Diarra Berthe and Isamery Agramonte each scored 14 points for the Lady Wranglers (10-7 overall, 3-2 in conference).
Diaysha Brown scored 15 points for the Lady Texans, who outscored the Lady Wranglers 13-7 in the final quarter to earn the comeback victory.
