MIDLAND The Odessa College baseball team saw its season come to an end after losing to New Mexico JC, 15-2, in an elimination game in the Region 5 Tournament Saturday at Christensen Stadium in Midland.
The Wranglers trailed, 1-0, after three innings and then watched T-Birds break the game open with seven runs in the fourth inning, with Stanley Tucker’s grand slam the highlight of the outburst.
New Mexico JC, which won the WJCAC regular-season title, will face either Midland College or McLennan Community College at 10 a.m. Sunday in another elimination game.
