Undefeated Sockers FC is set to return home to face Irving FC at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Grande Communications Stadium in Midland after picking up two wins on the road last week.
The Sockers (2-0-1 overall) got their first win of the season against Katy 1895 FC by a 2-1 score May 25 and followed that up two days later with a 2-0 shutout of Coyotes FC in Temple.
The team is currently tied for second place in the National Premier Soccer League’s Lone Star Conference with FC Brownsville at seven points.
