ECISD Superintendent Scott Muri held a joint press conference with the leadership of Medical Center Hospital on the current state of the spread of COVID-19 in Ector County as well as its impact on the district’s return to school next week Friday afternoon at the ECISD Administration Building. Students and school staff this year will not be required to wear face masks, however ECISD strongly encourages its students and staff to do so in accordance with CDC guidelines. Currently, Ector County currently has 931 cases of COVID-19 and of those, 49 are in Medical Center Hospital.
