Photos of the speleothems, or cave formations, within the Caverns of Sonora in Sutton County, Texas. The cave features different types of stalagmites and stalactites, soda straw stalactites, flow formations that looked like applesauce, cave bacon, helictites, and more. National Park Service included the caverns in the National Register of Natural Landmarks on December 1, 1965. The cave is located 7 miles from Interstate 10 just west of the city of Sonora and approximately a two-and-half-hour drive from Odessa.
