Odessa High School leaders on Monday surprised Jose Flores with the news he has been selected as the I Teach Texas Secondary Teacher of the Year.
Flores is the head gymnastics coach at OHS, and just completed his first year in ECISD. He was selected from approximately 1,800 nominees. This honor includes a cash award from I Teach Texas. I Teach Texas is an online alternative certification program for teachers, a news release said.
