West Texas Music Academy will celebrate 10 years in business by hosting a WTMA Lawn Chair Anniversary Concert from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 13.
The 100 block of Fifth Street will be blocked off and students will perform in front of the WTMA building at 115 W. Fifth. The public is invited to bring a lawn chair and enjoy musical performances by West Texas youngsters. There is no admission charge.
WTMA employs eight music teachers providing music education for children.
With current enrollment of over 100, it has served over 1,000 during the past decade. The academy provides training in piano, guitar, violin, drums and singing.
They moved to their current location in November 2013.
