Woman facing sexual assault charge

A 30-year-old Odessa woman was arrested Friday after she confessed to having two sexual encounters with a 16-year-old boy.

According to an Odessa Police Department report, a 47-year-old resident of Bluebird Street told officers he had set up motion sensors all over his residence because he suspected something wasn’t right and he received an alert on his phone Friday from his bedroom.

The man said he returned home from work and found his son in bed with Fabiola Morales, the report stated.

The boy told officers and then a forensic interviewer he’d had sex with Morales twice, once at the beginning of the summer and again at the beginning of August, the report stated.

According to the report, Morales told police the boy’s father was making up lies, but when she was told what the boy said she admitted the encounters.

Morales was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony and booked into the Ector County jail with a surety bond of $35,000. She was released Saturday.
