Woman accused of breaking into grandmother’s home

A 24-year-old Odessa woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon after her grandmother called police to say she kicked in her front door, broke items and was otherwise threatening.

According to an Odessa Police Department report, the 73-year-old Idlewood Lane resident called 911 around 2 p.m. to report a disturbance and when officers arrived, they found Dejah Price-Moore sweating profusely, saying unusual things and unable to hold a conversation.

Her grandmother reported that once Price-Moore kicked in the door she made a comment about her children being dead or inside the home. She also said people were going to die and bullets were going to fly, the report stated.

An investigation revealed the children were with other family members, the report stated.

Price-Moore was arrested on suspicion of burglary of a habitation, a first-degree felony and public intoxication. She remained in the Ector County jail Wednesday night on surety bonds totaling $50,312.
