University of Texas Permian Basin is hosting Homecoming this weekend with a parade, concert, bonfire and football game.
Senior Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Becky Spurlock said there have been a number of events on campus this week.
Friday evening will include a concert with Jon Wolfe, a parade and bonfire.
People can line up for the parade in front of the D. Kirk Edwards Family Human Performance Center and the parade ends at the turf field next other the facility.
The event Friday night runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday will feature tailgating before the Homecoming game against Western Oregon. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. at Astound Broadband Stadium. The Homecoming Queen and King will be crowned and the Homecoming court revealed.
The public is invited to join in all of the events.
There will be dozens of food trucks and vendors on hand.
If you arrive about 3 p.m., you can see the Falcon Walk, when football players arrive, will also have performances from the band, cheer and dance teams at 4 p.m.
