CORPUS CHRISTI The Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery will conduct an Unaccompanied Veteran Burial for U.S. Navy Veteran Ship’s Serviceman Seaman (SHSN) Clinton Johnson at 11 a.m. sharp Oct. 13. Born on April 2, 1949, SHSN Johnson served from April 1970 to July 1974, and again from April 1984 to November 1985. SHSN Johnson received the Good Conduct Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal, and National Defense Service Medal.
SHSN Johnson is not expected to have any next-of-kin attend his burial. Help us spread the word and ensure that this U.S. Navy veteran is not buried alone. Members of the Corpus Christi community are encouraged to attend.
SHSN Johnson will receive military honors. If no next-of-kin is present at the burial, a Veterans Land Board Representative will accept the United States flag on his behalf.
