The Texas Department of Transportation issued traffic alerts Tuesday for Big Spring St. and LP 250 at Avenue A in Midland.
Construction crews will be working on Big Spring St. (349C) beginning Wednesday, Aug. 7. Work has been phased to allow for one lane of traffic in each direction to consistently remain open through completion. Each phase will take approximately 1 week. Final surface will be placed beginning with phase 4 barring weather.
- Phase 1 – W Wadley Ave. to W Hamby Ave.
- Phase 2 – W Hamby Ave. to W Indiana Ave.
- Phase 3 – W New York Ave. to IH 20
- Phase 4 – IH 20 to W New York Ave.
- Phase 5 – W Indiana Ave. to W Hamby Ave.
- Phase 6 – W Hamby Ave. to W Wadley Ave.
- Phase 7 – W Wadley Ave. to 600’ north of LP 250 (Cemetery)
- Phase 6 – W Hamby Ave. to W Wadley Ave.
- Phase 7 – W Wadley Ave. to 600’ north of LP 250 (Cemetery)
Project completion on LP 250 at Avenue A is expected in late August to early September barring weather.
- The contractor will complete the installation of new concrete curbs and median along South Loop 250.
- The contractor is scheduled to produce and place asphalt pavement materials along the new acceleration and deceleration lanes.
- The contractor is scheduled to perform the installation of roadway signage and pavement markings.
