The Texas Department of Transportation issued a traffic alert Wednesday for I-20 at Midkiff Rd. in Midland County.
The I-20 construction team will be repairing a damaged traffic barrier in the median just east of Midkiff Rd. The repairs are scheduled to begin Thursday morning with completion scheduled Sept. 6.
This work requires a traffic shift to provide work space for the repairs. The east and westbound inside main lanes will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday as this new traffic pattern is setup.
Watch for slow moving traffic in this work zone. Expect delays or use an alternate route if possible.
