An 18-year-old man was arrested after police say he was involved in the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old man earlier this month.
Eduardo Levario Nicolas, 18, was charged with murder, a first-degree felony.
In addition to the murder charge, Nicolas was also charged with theft of a firearm, a state jail felony, and possession of marijuana, a class A misdemeanor. He also has a motion to adjudicate for theft, a state jail felony. Nicolas is also being held by the U.S. Marshals.
Nicolas was booked into the Ector County Law Enforcement Center on Dec. 22, jail records show. As of Thursday afternoon, jail records show that Nicolas has three bonds totaling $257,000.
The reported fatal shooting happened around 7:42 p.m. Dec. 16 in the 1300 block of N. Lauderdale Avenue, a previous Odessa American article detailed.
Officers found out that an unknown subject arrived at the location, shot at the victim and then left the scene. The victim was identified as 22-year-old Alexander Juarez. Juarez was pronounced dead at the scene.
