Following an allegation of a teacher spanking a child at Ireland Elementary School, Ector County ISD police and administration are investigating.
The alleged incident occurred May 5.
Chief Communications Officer Mike Adkins said the teacher was placed on paid administrative leave while the investigation is ongoing.
