At about 2:57 p.m. Sunday, the Midland Police Department Bomb Squad was dispatched in reference to a suspicious package at the Midland International Airport.
The terminal was evacuated for safety. After examining the package and conducting a sweep of the airport, authorities cleared the scene and determined there was not a threat, a news release said.
Airport operations have returned to normal.
