The Rainbow Room is working to “stuff the backpacks” for children in the Permian Basin and they need your help.
The drive ends July 27 and benefits children in pre-k through high school. The children referred to the Rainbow Room are those who are in any CPS/foster care situation.
Rainbow Room Director Jannine Seymour said many of the children who come through their doors may never end up in foster care but are in need of assistance. Seymour said donations of any type of school supplies can be made at any branch of Southwest Bank and First Basin branches are taking monetary donations.
Odessa’s Rainbow Room serves Midland and Andrews and Dawson Counties in addition to Ector County and other parts of the Permian Basin. The Rainbow Room was founded in 1997 by the Junior League. “We have a generous public in the Permian Basin,” Seymour added.
