Sewell expands in Midland

MIDLAND The Sewell Family of Companies hosted a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday for a new automotive campus in Midland, located at the corner of Avalon and Deauville in West Midland. This ambitious project is already underway, with an opening expected in 2026.

The new Sewell campus will feature state-of-the-art BMW, Cadillac, GMC, and Buick facilities for sales, service, and parts, relocating their current businesses on Wall Street and Andrews Highway.

Sewell hopes their new facility will serve as a hub for automotive excellence and exceptional amenities, giving back to the community. Among these amenities are an E.F. Outfitters retail store and a made-from-scratch restaurant that will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This concept mirrors their successful Ford project in Odessa, with plans to extend the new Midland restaurant’s hours to dinner service and potentially introduce a new name and menu.

Mayor Lori Blong expressed her enthusiasm for the project: “The groundbreaking of the new Sewell development marks an exciting expansion of West Midland, along our rapidly growing commercial corridor on Highway 191. The Sewell Family of Companies has long been a valued community partner in the Permian Basin. Midland is happy to welcome their expansion and further investment in our city. Best wishes and congratulations on this exciting day!”

Collin Sewell led the groundbreaking ceremony and shared this: “Our family is incredibly humbled to have the opportunity to break ground on a new campus in Midland. Our commitment to excellence and our dedication to serving the Midland community has never been stronger. My prayer for this project is that it not only enhances our ability to provide top-tier automotive services but also contributes to the local economy and community life. We look forward to welcoming everyone in 2026 and appreciate your prayers as we take this next step in our service to Midland.”
