Due to heavy rainfall and high waters at Memorial Gardens Park, Prosperity Bank and the City of Odessa have postponed the upcoming American Tribute Flag Field event. The event will now take place on Wednesday, September 11, at 6 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Park.
“It is an honor for us to pay tribute to the victims of September 11, 2001, and to recognize our first responders,” Mike Marshall, West Texas Chairman for Prosperity Bank, said in a news release. “We are grateful to the City of Odessa for their partnership in this event and to the numerous volunteers who help us place flags.”
The public is invited to help place flags and honor the lives lost 23 years ago.
