Five Prayers for Our City is scheduled 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the MCM Elegante Hotel, 5200 E. University Blvd. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
Thursday, May 4, is the National Day of Prayer. This event is a free prayer event and Mayor Javier Joven and other elected officials are asking for Odessans to attend.
Some of the areas indicated that prayer is needed for include abuse and neglect, mental health and suicide, addiction, human trafficking and public education.
