The Odessa Police Department issued a press release on Friday morning stating that on the evening of Thursday, December 16, officers responded to the scene of in incident at the 1300 block of North Lauderdale Avenue in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon their arrival, the officers discovered that an unknown subject arrived at the location, shot at the victim and then fled the scene. The victim, identified as Alexander Juarez, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Odessa Police Department is still investigating the crime. (Eli Hartman/Odessa American)
As of Friday afternoon, an Odessa Police Department official stated no arrests have been made in connection to the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old man on Thursday evening.
The fatal shooting happened around 7:42 p.m. Dec. 16 in the 1300 block of N. Lauderdale Avenue.
Officers found out that an unknown subject arrived at the location, shot at the victim and then left the scene. The victim was identified as 22-year-old Alexander Juarez. Juarez was pronounced dead at the scene.
