The annual American Tribute Flag Field event is scheduled at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Gardens Park. “It is an honor for us to pay tribute to the victims of September 11, 2001, and to recognize our first responders,” Mike Marshall, West Texas Chairman for Prosperity Bank, said in a news release. “We are grateful to the City of Odessa for their partnership in this event and to the numerous volunteers who help us place flags.” The event is sponsored by Prosperity Bank and the City of Odessa to memorialize the lives lost on 9/11.
