Pfluger to play in Congressional Baseball Game tonight

WASHINGTON, D.C. Wednesday, Congressman August Pfluger will play in the 2023 Congressional Baseball Game for Charity, an annual tradition between Republican and Democrat Members of Congress. During the 2022 game, a record $1.7 million was raised for charities that serve children and families.

Pfluger will pitch and play 3rd base on the Republican team. Last year, Pfluger was named MVP of the Republican team after striking out four Democrats — including Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff. He went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s. While playing in the field, he had 4 putouts at 1st, including throwing Rep. Eric Swalwell out with a laser from the 3rd baseline. Pfluger was instrumental in securing a 10-0 Republican win over the Democrats — the first Republican shut-out in 27 years.

The game will begin at 6 p.m. central and will be broadcast on Fox Sports and C-SPAN.
