WASHINGTON, D.C. Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) released the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court narrowed the Justice Department’s use of a federal obstruction statute leveled against scores of people on Jan. 6, 2021.
“The Supreme Court ruling demonstrates the overcharging and excessive punishment of some January 6th defendants. I stand for equal treatment and due process for everyone,” Pfluger said in a statement.
