Inter-American Oil Works Inc. will have an opening event at 11:30 a.m. June 13 for a new top drive facility at 5550 W. 24th St. in Odessa.
For over 30 years, Inter-American Oil Works Inc. has served its customers providing custom drilling rig equipment solutions as a premier custom drilling rig equipment manufacturer and rig-up facility.
Founded in 1991 by three Odessa natives on West County Road in Odessa, OWI has been a staple of the oilfield in the Permian Basin since its inception. OWI has been active in the oil and natural gas industry and has continued to grow from a small repair shop to a full-service drilling rig equipment manufacturer, now expanding its services and knowledge with the opening of its new top drive facility.
OWI is located at 2416 N. FM 1936 in Odessa on an approximately 30-acre campus that includes 21 buildings with over 135,000 square feet of gross building space.
The new 8,750 square foot building is a fully functional service and repair operation. In combination with the addition of this new facility, OWI has hired a Level III OEM Electrical, Mechanical, and Transmission Top Drive Technician. As it has with all product expansion, OWI will continue to provide excellent service including machining proprietary parts to OEM specifications.
Zee Buckley, VP of Business Development responded to a recent top drive inquiry by describing the test facility as, “the most anticipated and exciting addition to OWI.”
