Oil & Gas Workers Association welcomes Congressman Wesley Hunt to Policy Committee

HOUSTON The Oil & Gas Workers Association (OGWA) is excited to announce the addition of Congressman Wesley Hunt to its Policy Committee, further strengthening the organization’s mission to save and grow USA oil and gas jobs. A vocal advocate for American energy dominance, Congressman Hunt brings valuable knowledge and experience to OGWA’s efforts to promote economic growth and energy independence, a news release said.

Congressman Hunt, a native Houstonian, family man, and proud alumnus of West Point has gained a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry through his numerous visits to oilfield locations and engagement with workers. His commitment to representing our families and the interests of the Energy Capital of the World makes him an ideal fit for OGWA’s Policy Committee, as OGWA works to shape federal, state, and local policies that protect and promote our jobs, the release said.

“Big get! We are thrilled to have Congressman Hunt join our team,” Matt Coday, President and Founder of OGWA, said in the release. “His knowledge and passion for American energy will be instrumental in driving our efforts to speed up permitting, roll back costly, unnecessary regulations, and remove obstacles that hinder USA oil and gas production. Wesley’s experience will help us foster economic development, create jobs, and lower gas prices for all Americans.”

Oil & Gas Workers Association is a grassroots, independent trade association founded in 2015 by an oilfield truck driver. With over 47,000 members nationwide, OGWA represents everyone in the U.S. who works in oil and gas and every American whose job is supported by this vital industry. OGWA works through education and with federal and state legislators and regulatory agencies to secure, grow, and sustain American oil and gas jobs.
