Odessa Fire Rescue is on scene at 81st and West County Road, where a large structure fire occurred last month at Permian Basin Containers, a City of Odessa news release said.
At around 12:35 p.m. Friday, OFR received a call about a flare-up. After crews arrived, the initial blaze was extinguished quickly. However, the fire continues to smolder under the collapsed building.
Odessa Fire Rescue will remain on the scene for a while, the release said.
