A 64-year-old Odessa man was killed in a three-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning on Loop 338 and Hammett Drive.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Delfino Acosta-Contreras was traveling west on Hammett Drive in a Chevrolet Silverado when he disregarded the stop sign at East Loop 338 and collided with a tractor trailer that was traveling north on the loop. He then crossed over the southbound lanes and was struck by a second tractor trailer that was traveling south on the loop.
Acosta-Contreras was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened shortly after 6 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
