The Odessa Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Jingle Bell Run at 4:40 p.m. Dec. 3.
All participants are asked to gather at the starting point at the Odessa College Deadrick South Hall Parking Lot at 4:30 p.m. for check-in. The race will start at 5:15 p.m. and runs the Christmas parade route through downtown Odessa.
The race route is a down-and-back route to make it a true 5K, and the course must be cleared at 6:15 p.m. due to the parade.
Important note: all participants must wear lights to participate, such as headlamps, clip-on lights, or similar safety gear, because it will be dark during the run. No Santa costumes are allowed, no exceptions.
