Odessa College will have its first Back to School Expo as they celebrate the beginning of the school year and honor first responders and public servants.
The event will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 16 at Woodson Park, 1020 E. Murphy St.
The evening’s festivities are free and will feature live music, food, fun, and entertaining activities.
For anyone interested in a career as a first responder or in public service, information and demonstrations related to those and other career fields will be available. Expo attendees also will have the opportunity to speak first-hand with those who are currently serving as first responders or in other public service careers.
Odessa College representatives also will be on hand to discuss opportunities for new and returning students to take advantage of reskilling grants, scholarships, and financial aid – including how college can be free, a news release said.
