Odessa College Honors is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Nov. 8 at the Odessa Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, 305 E. Fifth St.
The event is to celebrate those who have made a difference in education in the Permian Basin.
The 2023 honorees include Chris Cole, outstanding individual; Permian Strategic Partnership, outstanding nonprofit; Ector County ISD Superintendent Scott Muri, outstanding educator; First Basin Credit Union, outstanding business; and Andrews ISD, Community Impact Award.
The keynote speaker is Noel Quinones, a poet, actor and writer from the Bronx, N.Y. He is founder of Project X.
