Nacero announced that the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has issued an Air Quality Permit authorizing the construction and operation of the company’s first low and net-zero carbon footprint gasoline manufacturing plant in Penwell, a press release stated.
“This is a major step forward in our effort to become the climate solution for millions of everyday drivers across Texas and the United States,” Nacero’s President and CEO Jay McKenna stated in a press release. “This is the first of a series of facilities that will bring affordable lower lifecycle carbon footprint Nacero Blue gasoline and net-zero lifecycle carbon footprint Nacero Green gasoline to market.”
The granting of an Air Quality Permit to Nacero reportedly means that the company has successfully demonstrated to Texas environmental officials that its Penwell facility will comply with all air quality regulations.
“With the issuance of the Air Quality Permit, site preparation and construction can move forward,” Project Integration Director for Nacero Wesley Burnett stated in the press release. “We expect to break ground in first quarter of 2022 on this transformational project.”
