MIDLAND Midland ISD’s Office of Financial Services has two additional awards to add to its list of accomplishments. The district was recently notified by the Government Finance Officers Association (GROA) and the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) that it had once again earned the Award of Excellence in Financial Reporting from both organizations. This marks the third consecutive year that MISD has been recognized for its commitment to financial transparency and best practices.
“These awards reflect our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and transparency,” Chief Financial Officer Tucker Durham said in a news release. “We are committed to continuing to provide accurate and transparent information to the taxpayers of Midland County and strive to achieve additional accolades in the future.”
MISD will formally recognize the Office of Financial Services for these achievements at an upcoming Board of Trustees meeting as a thank you for their hard work in maintaining the district’s financial health and earning these recognitions.
