Twenty nonprofits have teamed together to host a Community Volunteer Mixer, with happy hour and poker run fun from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. March 30 inside Midland Shared Spaces located at 3500 N. A St.
With 20 local nonprofits participating, this Community Volunteer Mixer will be a great way to learn about volunteering in Midland while mingling and getting to know others with similar interests. The goal is to connect the community with nonprofits for an evening of engagement and poker run. Community members can come to MSS for happy hour and visit the different nonprofits to not only get information on upcoming volunteer needs but collect playing cards to make a winning poker hand.
“If you are new to the community or just interested in what’s happening in Midland, the volunteer mixer is a great chance to discover the amazing work of our nonprofits,” Autumn Vest, Executive Director of MSS, said in the press release. “Invite a friend and stop by MSS for happy hour. You just might find something that sparks your interest. Whatever your passion, you’re likely to find a nonprofit that speaks to it!”
