Midland Festival Ballet announces its 2021-2022 season

Midland Festival Ballet, has an exciting mix of tradition and innovation planned for their 28th annual season, a press release detailed.

Get ready for the triumphant return to the stage of MFB’s annual production of The Nutcracker! While the ballet is full of epic battles, lands made of sweets, living toys and even fairies, the real magic happens when the dancers, musicians, volunteers, crew and audience come together to share the experience.

Make this year’s homecoming production extra special by including The Nutcracker in your holiday plans. With live accompaniment from the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale, The Nutcracker will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center. Tickets will be available in November at wagnernoel.com.

MFB’s spring production will be the world premiere of Aladdin and the Magic Carpet. West
Texans will be the first to see the characters and story they know and love told in a whole new way: in a mesmerizing explosion of movement, light and color paired with the drama of live orchestral accompaniment.

Plan now to be at the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center on April 16, 2022, to witness the dynamic spectacle unlike anything MFB has performed before. Aladdin and the Magic Carpet is sure to lift you out of your seat. Choreography by Jill Eathorne Bahr. Music compiled, arranged, and edited by Ramona Pansegrau. Lighting Design by Jared Sayeg.

This season is supported in part by Arts Council of Midland, Odessa Arts, Texas Commission on the Arts, and the Bryant Family Foundation. This project is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
