Midland College golf team and 13 individual athletes earn NJCAA All-Academic Honors

Midland College has announced that its golf team and 13 individual athletes from various sports have received NJCAA All-Academic recognition, highlighting their exceptional achievements both on the field and in the classroom.

The NJCAA All-Academic Award honors student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance while participating in intercollegiate athletics. Midland College celebrates the dedication and success of its golf team and the diverse group of individual athletes who have achieved this prestigious distinction.

“We are exceedingly proud of our student athletes for distinguishing themselves in the classroom,” Midland College Athletic Director Forrest Allen said in a news release. “The balancing of academic and athletic pursuits are often not given full credit by many who don’t understand the considerable sacrifices it takes to excel in both arenas. These students are an outstanding example of high achievement on and off the various venues of competitive performance.”

To qualify for NJCAA All-Academic recognition, student-athletes must maintain a GPA of 3.60 or higher on a 4.00 scale, showcasing their ability to excel in both athletic competition and rigorous academic pursuits.

Allen said, “Midland College is honored to recognize these 13 individuals, as well as, the Midland College golf team for earning these incredible honors.”
