MIDLAND The Midland College Board of Trustees accepted Dr. Damon Kennedy’s contract as the 5th president of MC at the June 27, 2023, MC Board of Trustees meeting. Effective July 1, 2023, Dr. Kennedy assumed his role as the college president.
Previously, Kennedy served as vice president of Instructional Services at MC. His approximately 20-year tenure at MC also includes service as dean of the Social and Behavioral Sciences & Business Division, professor of History and adjunct professor of History. Dr. Kennedy earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in American History from Texas Tech University in Lubbock and Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in American History from The University of Texas Permian Basin in Odessa.
