The City of Odessa announced on Wednesday afternoon that the Parks and Recreation Department has completed the construction project on the west pedestrian bridge located at Memorial Gardens Parks.
During the course of this project, park employees were able to clean out debris that was located in the lake.
Water levels of the playa will begin to increase as the parks department has started the process of filling back up the pond. It will take 10 days for the water levels to be high enough for the center fountain to begin operating properly.
