MC seeking community feedback on master planning

MIDLAND Midland College is in the process of developing a master plan, and community members are encouraged to provide feedback. The plan is not just a roadmap for the coming years, but a flexible guide for the next 50 years. It will shape how the campus functions and will guide Midland College’s academic mission, investments, and strategic vision through a data-driven approach, ensuring a secure and confident future for all.

The master plan, scheduled to be completed next year, is intended to support the goals and strategic initiatives within Midland College’s strategic framework “Honor the Past; Reimagine the Future,” a news release said.

“While we continue to play a pivotal role in the region’s education, innovation, and prosperity, we are also committed to addressing new challenges, including economic and demographic changes, and maximizing opportunities to positively impact student lives and surrounding communities through higher education” Damon Kennedy, president Midland College, said in the release. “Through our collaboration with Midland ISD, Midland Memorial Hospital, other surrounding higher ed institutions and industry partners, we feel our region is well-positioned to address the needs of our growing community.”
